Would you like to feed our alpacas straight from your hand and stroke their soft, woolly coats? If so, this activity is just for you! At Feed & Greet you can enjoy not only time with the alpacas, but also learn lots of interesting things about them, their personalities and their life at our resort. After the activity, treat yourself to a drink of your choice with a sweet or savoury seasonal snack. We look forward to meeting you and introducing you to our beloved alpacas and their unique life.

✱ How does this activity work?
Relax and find calm in the company of our alpacas, right here at AlpaCafé. Feed & Greet is a calm form of experience-based therapy in which you stay seated and the alpacas come to you.
In the pleasant setting of our bistro, enjoy moments of quiet, laughter and easy contact with animals that come over for their favourite snack. You feed them, they look at you curiously and take you in – without words, yet with complete understanding.
- After entering the grounds, turn right and you will find our AlpaCafé bistro. Please be on time, the activity starts at the exact scheduled time.
- Show our staff your reservation confirmation and you will be shown to your table.
- After a short introduction from our guides, the alpacas come in and move freely among you.
- Each participant receives a small bowl with a portion of feed – give the feed slowly, in small amounts, so the alpacas can chew it more easily. The amount of feed is set in advance and approved by our vet because alpacas have sensitive digestion, so it cannot be increased. How long the feeding lasts depends mostly on you – the more calmly you enjoy the moment, the longer it lasts.
- When the feeding is over, our staff lead the alpacas to their enclosure next door, where you can watch them rest for a while. Meanwhile, you can enjoy your drink and chosen snack in peace.
✱ GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS AND VISITING WITH CHILDREN
Feed & Greet is an ideal way to step away from the everyday rush for a while and tune back in – to nature, to the animals and to yourself. During this activity you stay calmly seated, so the alpacas can come to you naturally. The more calm you find within yourself, the more these remarkable animals give back to you.
The experience is suitable for children too, but only with an adult who keeps an eye on their behaviour. Because this is a very hands-on activity, children cannot take part on their own.
Please follow the instructions of our staff – they are there to protect you, other guests and the alpacas themselves. If any behaviour disrupts the activity or puts anyone’s safety at risk, we reserve the right to step in.

✱ Current snack menu
When making a reservation, each visitor can choose one seasonal snack, which we prepare and serve after the experience. Everyone can choose separately. This choice cannot be changed on site.
✱ Nachos with cheddar
Warm nachos with baked cheddar that melts beautifully on top. Served with BBQ sauce.
✱ Sweet pancakes
Fluffy pancakes with vanilla and Lotus cream, topped with fresh seasonal fruit.
✱ Gingerbread cake
✱ Hot chocolate
Hot chocolate with whipped cream and our homemade alpaca cookie. A sweet finishing touch for young and old alike.
✱ Recommended preparation before your visit
This activity takes place in our AlpaCafé bistro, which is semi-open, so please dress for the weather on the day. We recommend clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Sandals or open shoes are not recommended, as an alpaca might accidentally step on your foot. Like dogs, alpacas have soft pads on their feet, but their toenails can be quite sharp.
Because this activity takes place in the AlpaCafé bistro, it goes ahead even in bad weather. The bistro is heated in the winter months, but we still recommend dressing warmly, as you may feel cold. In summer, we recommend bringing a hat and sunglasses and wearing sunscreen.
✱ Cancellation terms
7+ days before the start of the event
Free change of date, or a 100 % refund.
If you don’t choose a new date right away, you will receive a voucher valid for 3 months.
3 – 6 days before the start of the event
We will try to find stand-ins – if we succeed, we will offer you a change of date or a 100 % refund. If we don’t find any, we will give you a voucher worth 50 % of the total price.
Less than 2 days before the event
If you cancel your reservation within 48 hours of the start, or do not show up, we charge the full price of the reservation.
✱ Reservations are transferable
If you can’t attend, you can give your reservation to someone else. Just send us the new visitor’s name in advance.
✱ Bad weather or other force majeure
If we ever have to cancel an event on our side (e.g. extreme weather, health reasons of the animals), we will offer you a new date or a full refund.
✱ “How do I cancel?”
Go to the ‘Contact’ section, where you will find our contact form. Once you fill it in, we will reply by e-mail. We always try to answer as soon as possible, but we handle every request individually, so it may take a little while – we apologise in advance and thank you for your understanding. If your request or question is urgent, you can also reach us by phone.
